This is a unique program targeted at young go-getters looking to start crafting their future today and contribute towards moving South Africa forward.
It’s a movement for a new generation of young people who are looking to redefine how they plan for the future career, after all, they are preparing for jobs that don’t exist today making the old-fashioned way of career guidance obsolete.

The program will have 3 phases:

Call-to-entry: Digital & school roadshows will go live on 18 March 2019. All students in Gr 9 will be invited to apply for a ticket to attend the IGC Craft Your Career Summit on the 13th of July to be held in Johannesburg. There will be 200 tickets up for grabs. Tickets will not be for sale, it will be a free event for the students that attend. The participants must be enrolled in a South African public high school. The selected students will be contacted by phone, email or through their school.

In-augural Summit: The summit will be a fun filled informative experience for the selected participants. They will get a chance to do personality tests & align their personalities to different types of industries. They will get a change to engage career coaches to insights on what to consider when planning for your career. We will also host multiple workshops with different industry leads to encourage dialogue around the different career paths. Information on the speakers, workshops & program will be announced on every week from the 18th of March 2019.

Career Shadowing: 20 students from the summit will win vacation work with the different companies that will be participating on the day. The winners will be announce on the 20th of July.
